Title Participation in Online Closing Collaborations

Overview

This article covers the Title Agent's participation in an online closing sent through Proof. This workflow is known as Real Estate Collab, where Lenders and Title Agents work together to send online closings to their signers.

Procedure

This procedure kicks off with the Title Agent receiving two emails from noreply@proof.com:

• First, an email notifying you that you've been added to an Online Closing.
• The second email has the Subject Line: [Closer] from [Lender Account ] needs you to add title documents.

1. Click Add Title Documents, then log in to Proof to add documents to the transaction.
   
   
2. Review the transaction details, including the Closing Team:
   • You can review the documents the Lender added, but you cannot edit them.
     
     
3. Add your Title documents by clicking Add Documents:
   • If any documents need to be updated, advise the Lender to recall the transaction, update the documents, and resend them to the Title Agent.
     
     
4. Confirm everything looks correct and add your title documents, then click one of the options:
   • Place Order to send the transaction to the Proof Closing Operations Team. Learn more about the Closing Ops process.
   • Send Transaction to send the transaction directly to the signer(s).

Status

The transaction status on the Title and Lender dashboards is now one of the following:

• Order Placed: The Proof Closing Operations team preps the title docs, quality checks the transaction, and sends it to the signers.
• Sent to Signers: Signers will receive an email to complete their online closing all on the Proof platform!
