Overview
Title wet-sign upload allows Title Agents participating in Hybrid transactions to upload completed wet-signed documents to the Proof platform after an e-signing is completed. Title Agents can upload a merged file of the completed scanned wet-sign documents to be accessible on the Proof platform. Read How to Complete a Hybrid Closing - For Title Agents.

Title Wet-Sign Upload Procedure
The Title wet sign upload feature must be enabled on the Lender's portal for Title Agents to see the capability to upload a merged file of completed wet-signed documents.
Lenders will decide whether or not they would like this enabled on their Proof accounts. Please reach out to your Proof Solutions Engineer with any questions!
Title Agent's Workflow
- The Title Agent listed on the transaction receives an email from Proof notifying them that they've been added to a Proof closing. The email outlines all steps.
- Once all e-sign documents have been completed by the borrower, the Title Agent receives a second email notifying them that the e-sign portion is complete and asking them to Print Documents for the wet signing portion. The Title Agent would conduct the in-person meeting with the borrower(s) to complete the wet-sign documents.
With Title wet sign upload turned on, the Title Agent sees a section labeled 'Scan and Upload' when clicking the link to access documents in the second email from Proof. The Title Agent would upload a merged file of the completed wet-sign documents (scanned after signing).
- Once the Title Agent uploads a document, it will be sent back to the Lender via the Proof platform. The Lender receives an email letting them know that the wet sign documents have been scanned and the documents are immediately accessible to them in their portal.
The transaction status in the Lender portal updates to Wet Sign Complete.
The file is labeled as 'Merged Wet Sign Final'.
If you mistakenly uploaded a document or need to resend it for any reason, you can replace the originally uploaded document by clicking the “replace” link. This will not add additional documents to the file; it replaces the document that was sent to the Lender.
*For Encompass Integrated Lenders*
As you have probably noticed, unlike executed e-signed documents, wet-signed documents completed in Hybrid closings do not automatically push back to Encompass. The Title Wet Sign Upload feature is useful for pushing a merged file of the completed documents back to Encompass. You can either have the merged file pushed back to the File Manager or to a Custom Folder in Encompass. Read Document Pushback Options.
