Information on validating your identity using Selfie Comparison.
Selfie Comparison is used to verify your identity when you receive documents requiring your signature from a Title Agent, Lender, or Business. The entity that sent the documents requires enhanced checks to validate your identity. This is known as a Proof transaction.
Selfie Comparison Process
- Click from the email or text message you received.
- Log in or create an account if you're new to Proof.
- Click , then type the code provided.
- Provide your name and date of birth as it appears on your photo ID.
- Provide your current or most recent address.
- Select the type of government ID you're using and the country that issued the ID:

Driver's license Passport State ID card Passport card Permanent resident card School ID card Utility bill Credit or debit card statement Bank account statement - Scan the QR code or click to get a link to capture a photo of your ID using a mobile device.
- Click to take a photo of your ID for Credential Analysis.
- Click to capture the front of your ID.
- Confirm the lighting is good and the lettering is clear, then select:

or - Wait for the ID images to be processed.
- Click to take a photo of your ID of your supplemental document.
- Click to capture the front of your ID.

Click - Center yourself on the screen.
- Look slightly left.
- Look slightly right.
- Wait a moment while the system compares your selfie to your provided ID.
