Fall Back to Trusted Referee
What is this?
This feature builds upon the new Proof transaction launched in June. When signers fail the automated IAL2-compliant identity verification checks before signing any documents for Proof transactions, they will be routed to a meeting with a Trusted Referee (TR). Trusted referees are trained specialists that provide human intervention to verify the identity of a signer for eSign transactions that the system can't validate. During the meeting, trusted referees can:
- Manually examine where a signer failed credential analysis
- Take action on identity alerts to validate a signer’s identity
- Request a retake of the signer’s ID and selfie to re-run identity validation
- Pass or fail the signers
Once signers pass the validation during TR meetings, they can complete the document signing.

- Audience: Signers of Proof transactions initiated by a Business, Title Agent, or Lender.

Fraud Signaling in Business
What is this?
Organization members with Admin privileges can now access a new Identity tab in the Transaction Details modal of Proof transactions. You can review the signer’s information, validation timeline, and credential analysis results, including photos of the signer’s ID card and selfie.

AATL Platform Seal
What is this?
With this release, we now use an AATL (Adobe Approved Trust List) certificate to tamper-seal eSigned documents. When this feature is enabled, eSigned documents completed on our platform display a green checkmark if opened in Adobe. (Documents that are not secured to this standard display a yellow exclamation mark.) This initial AATL release excludes documents signed and sealed by a notary.

- Organizations (Businesses, Title Agents, and Lenders) can request this feature. At this time, this feature must be activated by Notarize.
- Anyone using Adobe to open an eSigned document initiated by an organization with this feature will see the green checkmark.
