In-meeting doc scanning for mobile web retail signers
What is this?
Notaries can prompt retail signers in-meeting to upload a document. With this release, if signers are on mobile web and are prompted to upload a document, they can choose to upload a file or scan their document if they have a paper copy.
Notaries can now save meetings if a retail signer scanned and uploaded their document sideways or scanned and uploaded a picture of their ID instead of their document.
Who does this impact?
- Audience: Signers and On-demand notaries
- Transaction Types: Retail transactions when the signer is using a web browser on a mobile device
How does this work?
Updates to existing mobile web articles will be published on release day. (No updates made to the Business or Real Estate mobile web articles as this updates only pertains to retail transactions.)
Phase 2 Proof Rebrand
What is this?
We’re releasing Phase 2 of our Proof rebrand! This entails hosting both app.notarize.com and app.proof.com side-by-side in the product.
“Noreply” and “from” email addresses will be sent from @proof.com in our testing environment (Fairfax). The purpose of this release is to give customers time to test and allow-list our new proof URLs before we force-redirect to proof.com in Phase 3 of the rebrand (September).
A new banner displays on login screens and in the product for this Phase 2 update (replacing our current Proof banner).
Who does this impact?
- Audience: Any organization using Fairfax
- Transaction Types: N/A
Resources
Help Center articles about Fairfax will be updated on release day.
Signing Order
What is this?
We’re releasing signing order functionality across all transaction types for Business and Real Estate customers. This allows customers to specify a specific signing order using integers for signers listed on their transactions. Participants will be blocked from signing until it’s their turn. This functionality is limited to transactions initiated from our Business and Real Estate APIs.
Who does this impact?
- Audience: Organizations using our API
- Transaction Types: Business and Real Estate transactions initiated with our API
Coming soon: Content about Signing Order will be added to Dev Docs.
Retail Referral Campaigns
What is this?
We’re introducing a new tool in the product called Referral Campaigns. This tool allows customers to generate notarization referral links and share via link, QR code, or email. Organizations can use referral links to do things like display their branding during retail transactions or cover payment for signers in a non-abusable way (by generating one-time links).
Campaigns created in the UI will automatically have a redirect URL set to Notarize’s retail signer upload page (these transactions will not be hosted in the organization’s portal). When creating campaigns via the API, customers have the ability to specify the redirect URL, either to the retail page or to an organization’s hosted EasyLink (these transactions would be hosted in the organization’s portal). Customers can either generate referral links from these campaigns in our UI or via the API.
Who does this impact?
