Guest Checkout for Retail + EasyLink Signers
What is this?
Signers are no longer required to create a password to complete a *retail transaction or a transaction sent by a business via EasyLink.
Going forward, signers continue to provide an email to proceed with a retail/EasyLink transaction, but a password is optional unless:
- A signer returns to access a completed document; they must provide their credentials (provide their email address and establish a password).
- A signer returns later to use Proof again. If a signer already has a Proof account, they must provide their credentials (provide their email address and establish a password) to continue forward.
- A signer is accessing an organization-initiated transaction without an EasyLink, and the organization is not utilizing the separate but related feature called Passwordless Login with MFA. (Organization settings default to require signers to use passwords, but they can request Passwordless Login with MFA to be enabled.) Requests are subject to Legal review.
*Retail transactions are initiated by signers directly from Notarize.com or the Notarize App rather than being created by an organization or independent notary on the Proof platform.

Organization Brand Name
What is this?
We're introducing a new Brand Name field under Brand Settings, allowing Business and Real Estate Admins to set a different "brand name" for their organization and/or each "child-org" under a "parent-org". The brand name is displayed in emails sent to signers and on the signer landing page.
The purpose is that each child organization can have a unique organization name in Proof for internal reference while presenting the company's brand name to its customers.
The default is for the Brand Name field to display the unique organization name provided during account setup. If an admin of an organization does not want to display their organization name, they can change the brand name field to whatever they want to display.
