Domain verification confirms your authority over the domain and enables access to make changes for all users with that domain on the Proof platform. Once your domain verification is complete, you can set up security and authentication methods for your domain users, including setting up single sign-on for all users.

Domain verification overview

Verifying your domain in Command Center is a 3-step process:

  1. Claim your domain in your Proof account.
  2. Add TXT record to your DNS settings on your domain provider.
    • It may take up to 72 hours for the DNS settings change to update.
  3. Verify the domain in Proof after the DNS settings take effect.

Claim your domain in Proof

New to Command Center? Here's how to access it.

  1. Click Security from the left navigation panel.
  2. Select Domains in the Access page menu.
  3. Click Claim new domain in the upper right corner.
  4. Type the domain name you want to verify in the field provided.
    • You can use or exclude “www”

  5. Click Continue.
  6. Click Copy TXT record.

  7. Add the TXT record to your DNS settings for your domain provider.

Verify your domain

The change to your DNS settings may take up to 72 hours to take effect, so you may need to wait a few days before completing this step.

  1. Return to Command Center.
  2. Click Security from the menu on the left.
  3. Select Domains in the Access page menu.
  4. Click Verify now.
