Verify transactions offer a powerful solution that bridges advanced identity verification with face-to-face engagement, empowering your security teams to protect your users and brand with confidence.
Here's what to do when you answer a Verify call and ensure the user is who they say they are.
Who this is for
Users in organizations who have Verify enabled.
Meeting anatomy
Video feeds
Video feeds for you and the customer are in the panel on the left. Each video feed has network indicators on the bottom left and a menu button that looks like 3 vertical dots on the bottom right. Each user can also mute their own microphone using the microphone button in the lower right corner of their own video feed.
Agent tools
Your tools are displayed in the main panel. These tools include:
- Credential analysis
- Selfie analysis
- Credit card validation
They appear in the main panel as well as along the bottom of the screen.
Identity profile and timeline
The Identity profile, Verify identity button, and Identity timeline appear in the panel on the right.
The risk score under Identity profile in the upper right corner is pulled from the information the recipient provides before they join the meeting; it is currently static and does not change as the customer goes through the process.
The Identity timeline updates, including the date and timestamp, as the customer completes each verification step.
Verify the recipient's identity
Log in to your Proof account to complete the steps below.
- Click Meetings in the left navigation of your account.
- Click Join meeting to answer the call.
- Click Start under Credential analysis to begin the process.
- Select Start capture to confirm you'd like to start.
- The customer captures photos of their ID using a mobile device.
- The customer captures photos of their ID using a mobile device.
- Validate the identification when it appears on your screen.
- Use the Retake ID in the lower right corner to prompt a retake if the ID is not clear.
- Use the Selfie capture and Credit card validation buttons at the bottom of the screen to prompt the customer for additional evidence, if desired.
- Repeat step 6 if desired.
- Complete the meeting using one of the 3 options below:

If you would like to exit the meeting without making a determination:
- Click Exit meeting and confirm in the pop-up window.
- Click Verify identity in the upper right corner and complete the meeting with one of the options below.

- If you are able to validate the person's identity, select Passed verification.
- If you are not able to validate the person's identity, select Failed verification.

- Click Complete meeting in the upper right corner.
- Confirm in the pop-up window.
Change the verification selection
If you would like to change the verification after selecting an option:
- Click the verification button in the upper right corner.
- This will say Passed verification or Failed verification, depending on what was originally selected.
- Choose a new option.
