Verify your identity with an agent through the Proof platform.
Who can do this
Users who have been invited to verify their identity from an organization.
What to expect
This process is meant to verify your identity. You may be asked to provide the following:
- Photo of your ID
- Selfie of your face from your mobile device
- Valid credit card number — if this is provided, your card is charged $1 to validate the card, and it is immediately refunded back to your account.
The agent makes the final determination on your identity verification.
Verify your identity
- Click the Verify now button to begin the process.
- Provide your email address and click Continue.
- Type a password and click Continue.
- Provide the required information and click Continue.
- Type your home address and click Continue.
- Click Continue to start with giving your browser permission to your camera and microphone.
- Click Allow when asked to give your browser camera and microphone access. In Chrome, this appears to the left of the URL.
- Click Join now to meet with an agent.
- When the agent joins the meeting, both of your video feeds display on the screen.
- You can mute your audio, use in-meeting chat, or adjust your settings using the buttons at the bottom left of your screen.
- Click Accept & continue when the agent prompts you for your ID.
- Use the dropdown menu to select the country where your ID was issued.
- Select the radio button next to the ID type you'd like to use.
- Click Continue.
- Follow the prompts to capture photos with your device.
- If the agent prompts you for a retake, try again.
- Wait for the agent to prompt for additional items and follow the prompts to proceed through the process.
- Click Continue when the meeting is finished.
You may be prompted for payment depending on the settings of the organization who sent you the verification request.
