Retake your ID with your computer's camera

This article describes how to upload your ID for the verification process as a signer on a document. This process can be done before meeting with the notary or when instructed to complete a retake.

Best practices

• Make sure the room is bright enough to illuminate the ID.
  • Use natural light if possible.
• Hold the ID still so the photo isn't blurry.
• Make sure the ID does not have glare on it from any lights in the room.
• Ensure all 4 corners of the ID are within the frame.

Capture photos of your ID

1. Select the country where your ID is from in the dropdown menu.
2. Click the radio button next to the type of ID you're uploading.
3. Click Take photo.
4. Align your ID within the frame and click Take photo to take capture a clear photo of the front of your ID.
   
   
   
5. Click Confirm and continue (or click Re-take photo to take the photo again).
6. Click Take photo to capture a clear photo of the back of your ID:
   • Applies to primary IDs only.
7. Click Confirm and continue (or click Re-take photo to take the photo again).
