If you are encountering issues with Proof.com not functioning as intended, you may need to clear your browser cache. This is a common first step for modern web applications because it is often successful at resolving minor issues.
Why should I clear my Cache?
Clearing the browser cache means emptying stored data from previous visits to the site. The next time you visit a web page, everything must be downloaded anew.
How do I clear my browser cache?
The Proof platform supports Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge. The following are steps to clear the browser cache for Chrome and Firefox.
Firefox
- Click Firefox's main menu icon to the right of the address bar.
- Click History in the dropdown menu.
- Click Clear Recent History in the dropdown menu.
- In the dialogue box that appears, change the āTime range to clearā to Everything.
- Make sure only Cache is checked.
- Click Clear Now.
Your browser cache is now empty, and you may return to Proof.com.
Chrome
- Click Chrome's main menu icon to the right of the address bar.
- Click Settings in the dropdown menu.
- Scroll to the Privacy and Security section.
- Click Clear browsing data.
- In the dialogue box, select All time in the Time Range dropdown menu.
- Check only Cached image and files.
- You may need to uncheck the boxes next to Browsing history and Cookies and other site data.
- Click Clear data.
Your browser cache is now empty, and you may return to Proof.com.
