Signature & Initials: Create, Delete, or Resize

Here are instructions for creating and deleting your signature and initials during a transaction on the Proof platform via the Web, Android, and iOS. To change your signature, delete it and create a new one.

Important Note! Your signatures and initials must match your name as it appears on your document.

Web

Creating a Signature & Initials
  1. Do either of the following:
    • Select signature or initials from the Annotations menu, or
    • Click on your signature or initials designation on your document.
  2. Select either Type it or Draw it for Signature or Initials:

Type it

    1. Type your name as it appears on the document to create a digital signature.
    2. Choose a font.
    3. Select I Agree, then Create and Apply.
    4. Select the signature and move it to the signature line.

Follow the steps above for the initials.

Draw it

    1. Draw your name as it appears on the document to create a digital signature.
    2. Select I Agree, then Create and Apply.
    3. Select your signature and move it to the signature line.
Deleting and Recreating Signature & Initials
  1. Select your signature.
  2. Select the Delete bubble that appears above the box.
  3. Select the 3 dots next to your name below your video feed on the left side. 
  4. Select Clear Current Signature and Initials Style.
  5. Select Type it or Draw it.
  6. Re-type or Re-draw your signature.

Follow the same steps for initials.

Resizing a Signature & Initials 

To resize your signature and initials placed on the document, select your signature, then click and drag the blue dot on the bottom right of the signature to increase or decrease the size.

Android and iOS

Creating a Signature & Initials
  • Tap the Sign button at the bottom of your screen.

Choose signature

A new screen appears where you can choose your signature:

  • Select the font you prefer to use for your signature.
  • Tap the checkbox next to the terms and condition to agree to them.
  • Tap Create and Apply.

Draw it

  • Tap the Draw it tab.
  • Use your finger to draw your signature, then tap Save.
    • Tap Clear in the upper right corner of the drawing area to clear the signature and try again.
  • Tap the checkbox next to the terms and condition to agree to them.
  • Tap Create and apply to place your signature or initials on the document.
Resize or Delete a signature and initials

To resize your signature or initials:

  • Tap the item you'd like to resize.
  • Press-hold the circle in the lower right corner of the box that appears.
  • Drag the circle outward until the signature or initials are the desired size, then release.

To delete your signature or initials:

  • Tap the signature or initials you'd like to delete.
  • Tap the trash icon.
Recreate signature and initials
⚠️To recreate your signature an initials, first delete them using the instructions above.
  • Tap the 3 vertical dots in the lower right corner.
  • Select Reset signature and initials from the options that appear.
  • Tap the Sign button to recreate your signature and initials.
