Sign Ahead allows a signer to complete and sign documents that do not require notarization before connecting to a notary. Documents that require notarization must always be completed during the session.
Who this is for
The information and/or process below applies to users who interact with real estate transactions.
How it works
Sign Ahead is only available for real estate transactions.
When Sign Ahead is active, the signer cannot initiate a notary meeting until they've completed the documents that were marked as Sign Ahead.
Here's an overview of the process when Sign Ahead is active:
- The title agent or lender determines which documents can be completed when they create the transaction.
- The documents are sent to the signer to complete.
- The signer signs the documents that do not require notarization.
- The platform displays the total number of signatures the signer must provide before the meeting.
Signer experience
If they need to Sign Ahead
The Platform shows the signer how many remaining requirements to sign before the meeting.
After they fulfill the Sign Ahead requirements
The signer sees "Document requirements fulfilled" and continues to the next document.
