Search and Edit Team Members

Overview

Learn how to edit or disable your team members as an admin in your business account. You can also assign a new owner.

ℹ️ Only admins & owners can add, edit, or disable team members, including notaries.

If you're setting up your account owner for the first time, follow Assign an Account Owner.

Find the User to Edit

  1. Click Users from the navigation panel on the left in your Proof account.
  2. From within this page, you can:
    • Search: Use the search box to filter by name or email.

    • Filter: Use the dropdown menus at the top of the page and check the boxes next to the users you'd like to see by status, role, or notary capacity.

    • Sort: Click the up or down arrows next to the names of the columns to sort by that column.

Edit Team Members

  1. Click Users from the navigation panel on the left:
    • If you don't see the panel, click the caret to expand it.
  2. Click the kebab menu (3 dots) for the user to update > select Edit role & permissions.
  3. Select a new role from the dropdown.
  4. Click .

Notaries

If you have In-House Notaries enabled, you can adjust their permissions.

  1. In the top navigation of your Proof account, select Resources.
  2. Select Team from the dropdown menu.
  3. Select Notaries from the menu on the left.
  4. Use the toggle under the Accepting Calls column to enable or disable your In-House Notaries:
    • ⚠️ This toggle is only editable after the notary has been marked as enabled and compliant by Proof.

If you urgently need one of the following and none of your admins or owners are available:

  • To disable a notary: Contact the Notary Onboarding team at notaryonboarding@proof.com.
  • To enable a notary: Reach out to our support team below.
