Steps for Notaries to change the business email associated with their Proof account to a private email to retain access to their Notary Journal after leaving the company they've been notarizing for.

You may need to do this if:

You leave an organization and need to retain the notary journal under that business organization’s email, as required by state law.

You wish to be an independent contractor for Proof in the future.
The organization will retain access to the transactions.
You must change your email address after completing your last closing, or your profile will not be associated with the organization's account.
Steps
After you complete your last closing:
- Log in using the business email associated with the account.
- Click your initials in the upper right corner of your screens.
- Click Personal Info tab.
- Change your email address on the Overview tab.
- Verify the new email address.
