Instructions for setting a signing date window for a Remote Online Notarization (RON) or an eSign session. You'll choose an activation date and an expiration date for your transaction. Signing will only be available within the specific date range you choose.

Set the Signing Date
Set the signing date for your RON or eSign transaction.
Remote Online Notarization
- Select Date window.
- Provide the dates the documents are available to sign.
eSign
- Provide the dates the documents are available to sign.
Signer Notification
Activation date set for the future
The signer receives an email notification, Subject Line: Signing will be enabled on [date]:
ℹ️ Even if signers click the "Preview documents" link from the email early, they cannot proceed to a notary meeting or eSign session until the activation date arrives.
Active transaction with an expiration date
The signer receives an email notification, Subject Line: Documents expire on [date]:
⚠️ Signers cannot proceed to a notary meeting or eSign session if the expiration date has passed.
ℹ️ If a transaction passes the expiration date, you must create a new transaction to proceed. It may be possible to extend an expiration date that has not passed. Contact Support for assistance.
