For documents that require one or more signers to sign before another group, you can set a signing order when you create the transaction.

Who this is for
Any user in your organization who can create and send transactions can perform the steps below.
This feature is available to organizations with a Premium subscription or higher. If you're interested in this feature, contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) or contact sales.
How it works
Signing order requires one or more signers to sign in a specific order, determined by the person who sends the transaction. Documents are sent to signers sequentially, either to individual signers or to groups of signers who can sign in parallel (explained below).
For both split signing and parallel signing: Only one person can meet with a notary at a time to ensure the most recent version of the document is being signed and notarized. For split signing, each person receives an invitation to sign only after the previous person in the sequence signed the document.
Parallel signing
Signing order also allows for a group of individuals to be assigned the same number in the sequence.
Example
If Sam Signer and Sal Signer both need to sign before Bailey Business, but order doesn't matter between Sam and Sal, parallel signing would be a good option. So the signing order could be:
- Sam = signing order 1
- Sal = signing order 1
- Bailey = signing order 2
Sam and Sal both receive invitations at the same time to sign, and Bailey only receives an invitation after both Sam and Sal have completed their transactions.
