Real estate transactions created in the title or lender portal can be recalled to allow the sender to make adjustments and updates. Recalling a transaction returns it the Draft status.
To read more about actions you can take, check out Transaction actions overview. If you want to make changes to a non-real estate (business) transaction, read Edit a business transaction.
Who can do this
Anyone in the owner, admin, team member, or sender roles can recall real estate transactions.
Which transactions can be recalled
Only real estate transactions can be recalled, not business transactions.
A real estate transaction can be recalled from the following statuses:
- Order Placed
- Sent
- Received
- Viewed
You cannot recall transactions in status of Attempted or Completed because it would alter the audit trail of the attempted or completed transaction. The one exception is hybrid transactions can be recalled if it's in the Completed status.
What to expect when you recall a transaction
When you recall a transaction:
- The signer(s) receive an email notifying them that their documents are being updated.
- The transaction returns to the Draft status.
Adjust the transaction as desired and resend using Send transaction (or Place order depending on your organization's settings). Using the Save & exit button will save your changes and keep the transaction in the Draft status.
