A notary journal is a record of the notarial acts performed by a notary. Notaries using Proof must retain a record of their notarizations on the Proof platform. The record includes a journal documenting certain information about the notarization and a video recording of the notarization.
The journal is automatically retained by the Proof platform and kept under the notary’s sole control.
