KBA failures visible in the transaction dashboard
What is this?
Lenders and Title Agents who log in to our Notarize platform can see any transactions where a Signer has been locked out for 24 hours after failing KBA twice. We display a banner at the top of the transaction dashboard and a filter in the left menu that allows users to filter their dashboard so they can view all transactions with a KBA failure. Individual transactions are also indicated with a warning icon.
Who does this impact?
- Availability: All Lenders and Title Agents
- Users: Lenders & Title Agents
- Transaction Types: RON or Hybrid + eNote transactions

Collaborators & Contacts Roles
What is this?
We added a new role, Attorney, with the same permissions as Title Agent or Escrow Officer. We changed the transaction editing page to clearly distinguish Title Agent, Escrow Officer, and Attorney from other contact types on lender-initiated collaborative transactions. These roles are collaborators and have an active part to play in completing transactions such as uploading or reviewing documents, making a Notary selection, or scheduling a Signer meeting.
Who does this impact?
- Availability: Lenders sending Collab transactions
- Transaction Types: Lender-initiated RONs

Notaries can remove signers from concurrent distributed meetings
What is this?
During meetings with multiple remote signers, a notary may need to remove a signer in order to complete the meeting. This may be to proceed with one fewer signer (for example, one signer’s identity cannot be verified), or to proceed with all signers (if a signer loses connection and rejoins, resulting in multiple video feeds for one signer). With this new feature, Notaries can remove individual Signers from concurrent distributed meetings, so a problem with one Signer does not prevent meeting success for the other Signers.
Who does this impact?
- Availability: All notaries during meetings for an organization with the concurrent meetings feature enabled
- Transaction Types: All concurrent distributed meetings

Business template matching
What is this?
We're releasing business template matching based on document content. Business customers and Notaries (NST) can create and manage templates for their organizations to use for template matching to auto-place tags on documents containing preprinted Signer information. This solution is available to orgs and Notaries uploading individual documents in the Notarize Business UI and those sending individual documents via the Business API.

Mobile Web for eComm/Retail Signers
What is this?
Releasing Mobile Web for eComm/Retail allows signers that are uploading a document from their mobile device to continue forward via Mobile Web rather than having to download the app. Signers will be able to complete their entire transaction via Mobile Web. They will also have the option to go to the app instead of the branch banner if they choose.
