The short answer: Verifying your domain proves your authority over it, allowing you to manage security settings and authentication for everyone on your team who uses that domain. It's a two-step process: claim your domain and add a TXT record to your DNS settings, then confirm verification in Command Center. DNS changes can take up to 72 hours to take effect.
Once your domain verification is complete, you can set up security and authentication methods for your domain users, including single sign-on for all users and preventing unmanaged account creation.
1. Claim your domain in Proof
New to Command Center? Here's how to access it.
- Select Security from the left navigation panel.
- Select Domains in the Access page menu.
- Select Claim New Domain in the upper right corner.

Type the domain name you want to verify in the field provided.
- You can use or exclude "www".
- Select Continue.

Select Copy TXT record.
- Add the TXT record to your DNS settings for your domain provider.
2. Verify your domain
Your DNS settings could take up to 72 hours to update, so you may need to wait a few days before completing this step.
- Return to Command Center.
- Select Security from the menu on the left.
- Select Domains in the Security page menu.

Select Verify Now.
If the DNS settings haven't taken effect, you'll see a message to try again later.
