Audience: Organizations

The short answer: Transaction templates let you start a new transaction from a pre-configured use case — so you spend less time on setup and more time on what matters. Templates are available for Business Pro and Pro+ accounts.

ℹ️
Templates are proof-curated and not legal advice. You can still edit all transaction settings after selecting a template — they simply pre-fill the configuration for you.

What are transaction templates?

When you select Send new transaction, a side drawer opens showing two sections:

  • New Transaction — the standard transaction types: Notarize, Sign, Identify, and Verify.
  • New from Template — Proof-curated templates for common use cases, pre-configured with the right transaction type, document requirements, and signer settings for your account tier.

Templates are targeted based on your organization's available configurations and account tier. The templates you see may differ from those of another organization.

Start a transaction from a template

  1. From your Transactions dashboard, select Send new transaction in the upper right corner.
  2. In the side drawer that opens, scroll to the New from Template section.

  3. Select the template that matches your use case.
  4. Review and edit the pre-filled transaction settings as needed — you can adjust any field just like a normal transaction.
  5. When ready, select Send to send the transaction to your signer.
ℹ️
Selecting a template pre-fills the transaction requirements, but you can still edit any setting before sending — templates are a starting point, not a locked configuration.
