Usage
Verification of Fact transactions support USPS PS-1583 transactions for signers who don't have a US SSN. They're unique in that the signer does not go through KBA — instead, the transaction ends with a seal being applied to the document.
Setup
Verification of Fact is enabled per organization via an admin portal organization flag.
- Find the organization in the admin portal. You'll need the Organization ID (format: orXXXXXXX).
- Go to the Organization flags section.
- Turn on the Can Require Verification Of Fact setting.
Once enabled, the customer can confirm the feature is on by checking for the Verification Of Fact Required option in the Document Upload section of transaction creation.
Transaction Creation
- Create an eSignature Request.
- Add signer information, document(s), etc.
- In the Document Upload section, set the requirement to Verification Of Fact Required for all documents.
- Send the transaction.
Signer Experience
The signer experience follows the standard Signer Experience flow, with one exception: the signer is not required to go through KBA. Instead, they must upload a secondary form of ID during Credential Analysis.
