Audience: Organizations

The short answer: Send transactions to a shared inbox when anyone from a group can complete it on your organization's behalf — useful when you need a signature but don't know who will be available.

When to use signing groups

Signing groups solve a common business problem: you need a signature from your organization, but you don't know who will be available when the time comes.

When you send a transaction to a signing group, everyone with access to that shared inbox receives the invitation. Whoever is available first can complete the transaction — no delays waiting for one specific person.

Use case example

A mortgage lender creates a transaction requiring signatures from the borrower and a construction company. Anyone at the construction company can sign, but the lender doesn't know who will be available after the borrower completes their part.

By sending the transaction to the construction company's signing group inbox, the lender ensures the deal moves forward without unnecessary delays. The first person who sees the email can sign on behalf of the company.

Create a transaction for a signing group

1. Add the signing group recipient

When creating your transaction, select Add recipient under Recipient details.

2. Select Signing Group

Choose Signing Group from the recipient type options.

3. Provide the shared inbox email

Type or paste the email address of the shared inbox where you want to send the transaction.
