Delete document templates from your account

Learn how to delete one or more document templates from your account.

If you need to delete documents from a transaction instead of from your account, see Bulk-Delete Documents from Drafts.

Who can do this

Owners, admins, and team members can delete templates.

How to prepare

❗ Deleted document templates cannot be recovered. Make sure you are sure you want to delete the document template before doing so. You can also replace a prepared document if the source document was updated.

If you attempt to delete a template that's used in an EasyLink, you need to choose a new template or deactivate the EasyLink before you can delete the template. 


Delete business document templates

Log in to your Proof account to complete the steps below.

  1. Click Tools from the navigation panel on the left:
    • If you don't see the panel, click the caret to expand it.
  2. Select Document templates.
  3. Check the box next to each document you'd like to delete.
    • You can check the box at the top of the list to select all documents for deletion.
  4. Click Delete from the menu bar above the list of templates.
    • Note: The menu does not appear until you select at least 1 document.
  5. Click Delete again in the pop-up when asked to confirm.

"Template deleted" appears in a box at the top of the page to confirm the process the deletion.
