Audience: Organizations
The short answer: Once an in-house notary's profile has been marked compliant by Proof, you can enable them to accept calls with a single toggle in your Users settings.
Allow a Notary to Accept Calls
To allow an in-house notary to accept calls, navigate to your Users settings and toggle them on from the In-house notaries list.
⚠️
If your notary is already part of your organization, assign In-House Notary permissions to an existing user before following the steps below. New notaries should create an in-house notary account first.
- Click Users from the navigation on the left.
- Select In-house notaries from the Users page.
- Click the toggle next to the notary you'd like to enable for calls.
Once the toggle is on, the change takes effect immediately. If the notary is currently active in their account, they may need to refresh their browser.
Summary Checklist
- The notary has created an account (or been assigned IHN permissions)
- The notary's profile has been marked as compliant by Proof
- Toggle the notary to accepting calls in Users → In-house notaries
