The short answer: You've been invited to a Verify meeting to confirm your identity with an agent through the Proof platform. Join the meeting, follow the agent's prompts, and you're done.
What You May Need
Depending on what the organization requires, the agent may ask you to provide one or more of the following:
🪪 Photo ID
A photo of your ID for credential analysis.
🤳 Selfie
A selfie of your face from your mobile device.
💳 Credit Card
If required, your card is charged $1 to validate it, which is immediately refunded.
Complete Your Verify Meeting
1. Open the Email Invitation +
Select Join meeting in the email from noreply@proof.com to begin.
2. Start the Verification Process +
Select Verify now on the landing page.
3. Confirm Your Name +
Review and confirm your name as it appears on the screen.
4. Enter Your Date of Birth and SSN +
Provide your date of birth and the last 4 digits of your Social Security number. Enter your birth date in MM-DD-YYYY format — for example, July 12, 1989 is entered as 07-12-1989.
Select Continue.
5. Enter Your Contact Information +
Provide your address and phone number.
Select Continue.
6. Allow Camera and Microphone Access +
Select Allow when your browser asks for camera and microphone permissions. In Chrome, this prompt appears to the left of the URL bar.
7. Join the Meeting +
Select Join now to connect with your agent. Once the agent joins, both video feeds display on screen. Use the buttons below the video to mute your audio, open in-meeting chat, or adjust your settings.
8. Complete the Verification Steps +
Follow the agent's instructions for each verification method they initiate. Wait for prompts and follow them to proceed — see Verification Methods below for details on each type.
9. Select Continue to Finish +
When the agent wraps up the meeting, select Continue. You may be prompted for payment depending on the organization's settings.
Verification Methods
The agent chooses which method(s) to use. Follow their prompts for each one.
Option A: Credential Analysis +
Take a photo of your ID during the meeting for credential analysis.
- Select the device you'd like to use to take photos of your ID and review the terms.
- Select Accept & continue when the agent prompts you for your ID.
- Use the dropdown to select the country where your ID was issued.
- Select the radio button next to the ID type you'd like to use.
- Select Continue.
- Follow the prompts to capture photos. If the agent asks for a retake, try again.
Wait for the agent to complete their review and provide next steps.
Option B: Selfie Analysis +
- Select the device you'd like to use and review the terms.
- Select Accept & continue when the agent prompts you.
- Capture your selfie photos.
Wait for the agent to complete their review and provide next steps.
Option C: Credit Card Validation +
Credit card validation processes a temporary $1 charge to your card and immediately refunds it to confirm the card is valid.
- Enter the required card information.
- Select Submit.

Option D: Phone Number Validation +
Phone number validation sends a code to your cell phone. Enter the code during the meeting to confirm your number.
- Enter the code in the field.
- Select Continue.
Wait for the agent to complete their review and provide next steps.
Summary Checklist
- Join the meeting from the email invitation sent by noreply@proof.com.
- Confirm your personal information: name, date of birth, last 4 digits of your SSN, address, and phone number.
- Allow camera and microphone access in your browser.
- Complete the agent's verification method(s): credential analysis, selfie, credit card, and/or phone validation.
