The short answer: After completing 4 transactions and passing IAL2 identity verification, you can save your identity to Proof so future transactions only require a selfie instead of the full verification process.
Save your identity on Proof
When you save your identity, Proof stores your verified credentials so you can skip the full verification process in future transactions. Instead of completing credential analysis and selfie comparison each time, you verify with a quick selfie, saving time every time.
1. Complete your first 4 transactions
You become eligible to save your identity after completing 4 transactions on Proof and passing IAL2 identity verification.
2. Opt in to save your identity
When prompted after your 4th transaction, select the option to save your identity. Proof will confirm your IAL2 verification — including credential analysis and selfie comparison — before issuing your digital ID.
3. Receive your Proof Digital ID card
Once verified, you'll receive a Digital ID card confirming your saved identity.
4. Verify future transactions with a selfie
For each new transaction, verify your identity using multi-factor authentication and a selfie photo. You won't need to repeat the full IAL2 process.
Note: Multi-factor authentication is required when you initiate your own transactions.
