Learn about paying for a notarization sent to you by an organization. This article also covers accessing and sharing your notarized document(s).
Who is required to pay
If you initiate the transaction yourself by uploading a document, you will be prompted for payment as soon as the meeting is complete. You can also return to your account to pay later.

If an organization sent you the transaction, they may pay for it, so you may not be asked for payment.
For transactions for multiple signers, we ask the last signer to pay for all required fees so that the documents can be available to all parties as soon as they're finished.
For transactions that involve one or more notary meetings, the first signer to join the final meeting is asked to pay for the transaction.
Payment is required at the end of the transaction.
What to expect
Documents are not accessible until payment is received, unless the payment is covered by the organization who sent you the transaction.
Proof accepts:

- Visa
- MasterCard
- American Express
- Discover
After payment is processed, you receive your documents and a receipt in your email. If desired, provide additional email addresses to share your completed document with anyone you choose.
Pay immediately after a transaction
After you submit payment, you'll receive your document(s) and a payment receipt via email.
- Click the radio button next to the desired payment type to select it.

Credit card: Provide your credit card information. Click Submit payment.
Note: American Express CVC codes are the 4 digits found on the front of the card.
If you've paid for a transaction previously, you'll be given the option to pay using the same card. Click Update card to provide information for a new card. -
Google Pay: Click the Buy with G Pay button to pay with Google Pay. Sign in to your Google account, select the desired card from your Google account, and confirm payment.

Credit card: Provide your credit card information. Click Submit payment.
Pay from your account
Log in to your Proof account to complete the steps below.
- Click Update next to the transaction you'd like to pay for.
- Click the radio button next to the desired payment type to select it.
- Credit card: Provide your credit card information. Click Submit payment.
- Google Pay: Click the Buy with G Pay button to pay with Google Pay. Sign in to your Google account to continue with payment.
