Why Does Proof Need My Camera and Microphone?

When you sign a document in front of a notary on Proof, your video and audio are recorded through the platform to create a secure, verified record of your notarization session.

When Proof checks your device, your browser will usually ask for permission automatically. When prompted, simply click Allow and you're good to go. If you missed the pop-up or previously denied access, follow the instructions for your browser above.
