The short answer: When a site asks for proof of identity, your assistant shows a Confirm your Identity card. Select Verify my identity, unlock your ID in the Proof tab, approve what you want to share, and go back to your chat.
1. Start From the Confirm Your Identity Card
Your assistant shows who is asking and the Proof account you'll confirm as. Select Verify my identity. Select Cancel to stop. Nothing is shared if you cancel.
2. Open Proof
Your assistant gives you a Verify with Proof link. Select it. Your assistant may first ask permission to use Proof. Choose Allow once or Always allow. It may also warn you that you're leaving the assistant to open an external link. Check that the address is a Proof address, then select Open link.
3. Unlock Your ID
Proof opens in a new tab and says Welcome back. Select Unlock your ID, then center your face in the frame for a quick biometric scan. No camera? Select No camera? Use your phone.

4. Review and Approve
Check who is asking and what will be shared. In this example, the requester asks for your full name and whether you're over 18. Select Approve to share only what's listed.
5. Go Back to Your Assistant
Proof shows You're all set. Close the Proof tab and return to your chat. Your assistant picks up from there.
