The HISTORY tab lists your customer's most recent activity at the top of the page and moves chronologically back to the oldest activity at the bottom of the page.
Proof is designed to be an on-demand system for the convenience of you and your clients. Once your transaction is created and sent, it's up to your client to take the next steps to connect with a notary.
Use this information to help you make decisions on re-engaging your customers for quicker transaction turnaround.
Transaction Status Definitions
When you view your transactions from the All Transactions page, you'll be able to see the status of each transaction in the Status column. You can also view the most recent status at the top of the HISTORY tab in the Transaction Details window.
Below is an alphabetical list of statuses you might see and what they mean.
Status | Definition |
Active |
An event in the HISTORY log of your transaction that indicates you clicked either:
|
Attempted | Your client has attempted to connect with a notary, but they've been unsuccessful in completing the transaction. |
Canceled | The reason for cancelation can be found on the HISTORY tab of the Transaction Details window. |
Completed | The transaction is complete. You can view and download the completed documents if there has been a successful payment. |
Completed with Rejections | A subset of documents is complete. This status is typically seen when signers are uploading their own documents for the transaction. The signer may include an unnecessary additional document that was not needed (like a photo of their ID). This may cause the notary to “reject” the unnecessary document and complete the intended document. |
Expired | The transaction date or window set when the transaction was created has expired. Choose a new transaction date or window. |
In Progress | Your client is currently making their way through the Proof platform. They're on their way to being connected with a notary (if they're not already connected)! |
Order Placed | (Title Agents only) Your closing package has been sent to the Proof Closing Operations queue to be prepared. |
Partially Complete | At least one signer has completed a multi-signer transaction, and one signer has not. |
Received | Your client is in receipt of the transaction email. No action has been taken. |
Sent | The transaction has been sent. Your client will receive an email from noreply@proof.com with a link to start their transaction. ℹ️ Note: You will not see "Sent" if you suppressed emails to signers.
|
Viewed | Your client clicked the link in the transaction email and viewed their transaction on the Proof platform. No further action to proceed has been taken. |
