File format
Here are important tips for uploading documents:
- Upload the entire document, not just the signature page.
- Upload a PDF file, ideally created directly from a digital document.
- Most word processors allow you to create a PDF if you look under File > Export or Download as… > PDF.
Do not use a digital photo of a document. The platform zooms out to compensate for high resolution photos, so it appears normal during the notary meeting. Unfortunately, when text and signatures are added, the text is too small to read when the file is downloaded after the notarization. A document with this issue may be rejected by the recipient because it is not legible. If you took a photo of a physical document, we recommend scanning the document as a PDF instead, or resize the image before you upload it to Proof.
File size
- Individual files must be less than 30MB.
- The total size of all documents for one transaction should be less than 500MB.
