The short answer: Here's how to edit, deactivate, or reactivate a referral campaign. Referral campaigns generate links that refer customers to Proof without associating their transactions to your account.

How it works

  • Edit — update the internal name of the campaign. This change is only visible to you and other users in your organization. Only the name can be changed after a campaign is created. To change branding or payment options, create a new referral campaign instead.
  • Deactivate — prevents new transactions from being created with that referral link. The link immediately stops working for signers. Be sure to remove or update any published links. Campaigns can be reactivated at any time.
  • Reactivate — restores a deactivated campaign immediately.

Edit a campaign

  1. Select Tools from the navigation panel on the left.
  2. Select Referral campaigns.
  3. Select the 3 vertical dots next to the campaign you want to manage.
  4. Select Edit campaign to change the campaign name.

Deactivate a campaign

  1. Select Tools from the navigation panel on the left.
  2. Select Referral campaigns.
  3. Select the 3 vertical dots next to the campaign you want to deactivate.
  4. Select Deactivate campaign.

Reactivate a campaign

  1. Select Tools from the navigation panel on the left.
  2. Select Referral campaigns.
  3. Select the Inactive tab at the top of the page.
  4. Select the 3 vertical dots next to the campaign you want to reactivate.
  5. Select Activate campaign.

Summary Checklist

  • Tools → Referral campaigns → 3-dot menu → Edit, Deactivate, or Activate.
  • Deactivating stops the link immediately — remove or update any published links.
  • To change branding or payment options, create a new campaign — these cannot be edited on an existing campaign.
