The short answer: Business Pro+ organizations can turn in-house notaries (IHN) on or off anytime from Settings → Notary Settings.
Who this is for
This setting is available to Business Pro+ owners and admins. Business Pro (non-Plus) organizations can view the setting but will see a locked, upgrade-prompting state instead.
Where to find it
Log in to your Proof account, then go to Settings → Notary Settings → Notary routing.
Turn in-house notaries on or off
- Under In-house notaries, find Allow assignment to in-house notaries.
- Select Yes to enable IHN, or No to keep sending transactions to Proof's on-demand notary network.
Add an in-house notary
Once IHN is enabled, select Add an in-house notary to route to the team member invite flow with Will this person notarize documents? pre-selected. See Assign In-House Notary Permissions for a New or Existing User for the full invite steps.
If you're on Business Pro (not Plus)
Notary Settings shows a locked Onboard your in-house notaries screen instead of the routing toggle. Selecting View plans routes to plan options, including upgrading to Business Pro+.
