The short answer: You can get documents notarized on your phone using the Proof platform with the web browser of your choice — no app download required.
Signers
Open our website on your phone's browser to get started. Using a browser on your phone is ideal for when you don't have a computer or are away from home.
Signers can complete the same actions on their phone as they can when using a computer, including:
- Uploading their own transactions and adding notes
- Adding, moving, and deleting notations
- Filling out fields and applying signatures and initials
- Changing settings, such as payment method, password, etc.
The experience is the same regardless of the device used, but screens may look a little different from one device to another as they automatically adjust to fit the device.
Witnesses
Document witnesses, credible identifying witnesses, and Florida property remote witnesses (real estate transactions on Florida properties only) can join meetings with a computer or a mobile device.
On-demand witnesses who are answering witness calls from the on-demand queue must use a computer to act as a witness.
Summary Checklist
- Use a web browser on your phone — no app download needed for most transactions.
- Real estate transactions cannot be completed in the Notarize app — use a browser on your mobile device instead.
- On-demand witnesses must use a computer, not a mobile device, to answer witness calls from the queue.
