This article provides tips and tricks for closers to test the submission of loans from Encompass to Notarize with Proof as they onboard onto the Encompass integration. This workflow should not be utilized for sending live loans from Encompass to your signers on Notarize with Proof. We suggest that lenders dedicate a resource to testing the first few packages sent through to Notarize with Proof. You can utilize your Project Plan > Template Tracker provided by the Proof Onboarding team to see which packages have been tested so far and for confirmation from our Onboarding team.
Testing Tricks to Speed Up the Process
- Duplicate loans in Encompass, swap out details for the loan (rather than creating loans from scratch). Add a closer, order documents, and place the order to Notarize with Proof!
- Test multiple loan packages without starting from scratch by updating the loan number in Notarize with Proof and refreshing the loan in Encompass:
- After placing an order from Encompass, open the transaction from your Send & manage page, rename the loan in Notarize with Proof, and click Save and Exit to save the loan in Notarize with Proof with your new loan number.
- By renaming the loan in Notarize with Proof, you disassociate that transaction from the loan in Encompass. So if you refresh the form in Encompass, you will have the ability to place a brand new order.
- Update your loan details accordingly for your next test before clicking ‘Place Order’ again on the Notarize with Proof eClosing form. Delete the contents in the eFolder from the previous order and order your new documents. Click Place Order to submit the new loan.
