The short answer: The Proof Onboarding team is here to make your experience from Encompass to Proof as seamless as possible. We do require testing on your end to ensure everything is configured properly and documents are tagged correctly.
The Proof Encompass integration supports hybrids, hybrids with eNotes, and online closings. We typically recommend starting with hybrids and moving to hybrids with eNotes and online closings as you get comfortable. To perform a hybrid with eNotes and online closings, you need an eVault set up — see Connect an eVault for more information.
Onboarding timeline
On average, lenders are onboarded within 6–8 weeks of connecting Encompass to Proof. This timeline depends entirely on your availability to test the integration. Testing ensures that your closers are comfortable sending transactions from Encompass into Proof and that document tagging is accurate before going live.
Testing
- Test sending an order from Encompass to Proof to verify the connection between the two systems. See resources below:
- Send two tests per loan type and state you'll be operating in. This ensures documents are tagged correctly before sending live transactions to signers.
- During onboarding, submit feedback about documents or errors via the lender-specific feedback form provided by the Proof Onboarding team. You can also contact our Support team for any issues during Encompass integration onboarding.
Go live
The Proof Onboarding team will import your Fairfax template library into your Proof production account to prepare for going live. Follow the same configuration steps for your Proof portal, and send at least one test transaction from your Encompass instance before sending a live transaction.
Summary Checklist
- Start with hybrid closings and progress to hybrids with eNotes and online closings as you get comfortable.
- Send two tests per loan type and state before going live to verify document tagging accuracy.
