Audience: Organizations

The short answer: No need to log in to Proof to update closing schedules — Proof supports closing scheduling inside Encompass. Your team can set default closing schedules for each order type and has full control over updating closing schedules per transaction.

Closing window settings

In Proof, you can set default closing schedules for each order type to control how the closing schedule appears in Encompass.

  1. Select Settings from the menu on the left.
    • If you don't see the menu, select the arrow to expand it.
  2. Select Integrations from the Organization Settings menu.
  3. Select the Closing Windows tab on the Integrations page.
  4. Update each setting for Hybrid Closings, Hybrid Closings with eNotes, and Online Closings to the desired window in 24-hour increments, up to 14 days.
    • The default for each type is 24 hours.

When opening the form in Encompass, the closing window defaults to whatever you have set for each closing type. The defaulted timeframe is also shown. If you update the closing timeframe in Encompass, Proof will not override your changes.

Set an individual transaction closing schedule in Encompass

When you select your order type, the default closing schedule and timeframe appear automatically. The closing window can be updated for each individual order.

Updates to default settings in Proof appear when the form reloads in Encompass. If updated settings don't appear after reloading, try switching between closing types to see the update.

Invalid closing window

If an invalid closing window is set (the Expiration date is before the From date), update the closing window to a valid present or future schedule to proceed.

For example, if you set your Online Closing schedule to 6/28–6/30 in Encompass, it appears the same way in Proof. Signers can complete documents any time within the window at their convenience.
